Senior - Software Test Engineer ( Automation )

You will be working for a US-based technology company leading the development of an Ecommerce platforms that supports independent retailers in North America as they adopt and embrace new components of their digital marketing solutions. We build and maintain thousands of retailer websites that must run reliably, efficiently, and effectively. This senior position is responsible the development team in implementing new functionality and coding updates to both new and existing systems. In this position, you will primarily be working with Node/Postgres on the backend and Next/React on the frontend, but working knowledge of similar and related technologies is important.

The role will work on an amazing team of engineers to continue building out products to meet our retailers digital needs.

Responsibilities

• Manage testing for a complex feature set within a core team, and through cooperation with other teams

• Responsible for manual testing assistance as required to troubleshoot

• Design, create, and manage test plan architecture

• Coordinate with other test engineers to confirm necessary coverage across the organization

• Recommend and enact process changes or infrastructure improvements to address common causes of test failures

• Provides input on functional design

• Manage nearshore and offshore testing as necessary

• Experiences as an Engineering Senior overseeing test automation

• Experience in automation of web applications using frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, and/or Playwright (preferred)

• Experience in AzureDevOps pipelines, Github and Github actions (nice to have)

• Experience in observability (Datadog, ELK stack, Grafana, Prometheus etc)

• Experience in breaking down complex test suites into manageable, reusable components

• Excellent communication, ability to convey ideas quickly and clearly

• Proven ability to gather requirements and "run with them"

• Bonus:  Systems Architecture knowledge
